Second Grade Each individual child has a flexible daily learning program customized to his or her ability and needs. However the child now learns about group dynamics and working in teams. Curriculum is based on NJ Core Curriculum Standards with additional supplemental materials. Daily program may be broken up into the following: Math - four times a week Physical Education - four times a week Reading/Language Studies - four times a week Science - four times a week Social Studies/Awareness Program - four times a week Music - twice a week Lunch Writing - four times a week Art – twice a week Computer Lab – four times a week Library- every other week (except when students are working on a special project) Guidance – once a week (meet with teacher and review weeks performance)
